NY Fashion Week Feature: Kate Spade

I have always been a huge fan of Kate Spade when it comes to work attire. The combination of classic elegance and feminine fun has always captivated my attention. Over the past few seasons, Kate Spade has drawn influence from international travel, paying homage to countries like Brazil and Japan.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a slight change in the Fall 2015 collection. First, her pieces are more structured than ever before, and there is definitely a hint of menswear inspiration. I also enjoyed the incorporation of navy into so many of her pieces. The combination of navy with bubble gum pink will give your outfit a pop that can be transitioned from daytime to evening looks. While there is a slightly tomboy inspired vibe, I do love the fairy tale ambiance. Kate Spade’s creative director is said to have been influenced by the works of the legendary children’s book author Roald Dahl. I especially love the red cape that is styled to give off a Little Red Riding Hood vibe.

Can you guess which pieces I am dying to have? For starters, I’m going to have to get my hands on the dress inspired by “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”. Perhaps I’m just in the mood to reminisce?

Overall, I give Kate Spade an A- for Fall 2015.  Here are some of my favorite looks:
