Fashion Has To Do With The Way We Live

The timeless Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”   This is one of my all-time favorite fashion quotes, as it emphasizes the fact that beauty is not just in a piece of fabric or in a fantastic pair of shoes.  Fashion lies in the way we live.  Looking to live a fashionable life?  What better way to be fashionable than to give.

I am super proud to be supporting my fellow Houston fashionista Lissa Goldsmith in her campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year.  This campaign was started years ago in order to bring attention to a killer who knows no bounds.  Millions of dollars have been raised to shed light on these terrible forms of cancer in the hope of one day finding a cure.  When the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was started back in the 1940s, a patient was essentially considered a hopeless cause.  Patients diagnosed with Leukemia died within just a few short months.  Because of the support from people across the globe, this is changing, and I am so glad to support a dear friend of mine in championing this cause.

Looking to donate to this amazing cause?  You can do so by clicking here.

Every dollar makes a difference!!  If you are not in a position to give this year, I ask that you say a prayer, send positive vibes, or just take a moment to educate yourself about the fight to end cancer.

Here are some of the lovely ladies on Team Lissa who are dedicated to giving back and supporting LLS.  Are they fashionable or what?!? 🙂

Fashion is Giving
