We are not even a week into summer, and all you hear on the radio, television, and even YouTube is the infamous question. You know what I’m talking about. Is your body ready for the beach? Insert sigh here.
With my work schedule, there is definitely no beach fun in sight; however, I have decided to smart my summer off the right way by making small improvements in my diet. Beach body ready (yes I hate those ads too)? For me the answer is a resounding NO, but my main goal of watching what I eat is to gain energy and feel better.
If you know me even a little, you will know that my sweet tooth is more the size of an elephant tusk. So for me, finding sweet substitutes was step one. The timing was perfect, as I had just been selected by Influenster and Weight Watchers to sample their new ice cream for FREE in exchange for my feedback.
Weight Watchers has launched everything from ice cream cones, sandwiches, and bars that are reduced in fat and calories in order to give ladies and gents like myself a kick without all the unwanted additives. Like many reduced fat goodies, I expected the Weight Watchers products to have zero or perhaps even negative flavor. I’m happy to admit that I was wrong.
I decided to go for these guys.

*These products were given to me for free by Weight Watchers and Influensters in exchange for my review.
I am proud to say that I finished both boxes nearly all by myself. I gave my brother a Toffee Crunch for taking my picture, and my sister took another without my consent. While I could have shamed her, I was curious to know what she thought. They both were pleasantly surprised by how good they were.
Both products are light and satisfy the sweet craving without making you feel like a boat. WIN. I also liked how each box had its own kick. The Cookies & Cream is a bit more satisfying than the Toffee Crunch….this may be because you can down two of the Toffee Crunch in under a minute. My only note would be the pricing. At around $4.75-$6.00 a box, they are priced, as expected, higher than most of the fattier equivalents on the shelf.
Overall, me and boy Karlito approve…especially on a hot day here in Houston, TX.
Anyone else trying out healthier alternatives?!? I’d love to hear all about it!!
Nice hook for the first paragraph! 🙂

I imagine they will be. I think they are just starting to launch them, so it may be a bit of time.
Hope all is well in Belgium! I used to go to Bruxelles several times a year. 😉

They look delicious.
When I’m craving sweets, I try to go with fruit or a protein shake with some chocolate protein or chocolate almond milk or something. It’s a struggle and I frequently give in to my sweet tooth but slowly but surely I get better at resisting temptation.

I definitely need to work on finding better solutions. I have always avoided drinking my calories so to speak, so I have never really gotten into the shakes. It’s definitely something I want to try though. You’re doing much better than me!;)

I don’t want to spoil all the fun but I’m curious to know what the ingredients are. Haven’t seen it in Belgium yet.though

No no that’s definitely being realistic….a lot of brands are trying to get rid of things like artificial food coloring, etc. that is completely unnecessary. In the US, we are a bit behind the game on this. Since this is a relatively new product, I imagine it may be a bit longer before it makes its way to Belgium.
