A couple of years ago, I was shopping through the sales rack when I discovered the most unique skirt. “Sachin & Babi..hmmm never heard of them,” I thought. Well, I haven’t looked back since. I absolutely LOVE the details and embroidery embedded into each piece, and if you have not yet discovered the work of Sachin Babi, you will enjoy this new discovery.
Sachin & Babi is named after the masterminds behind the brand, Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia. The design duo met while studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology and later married and began their empire.
In my view, the delicate and bold embroidery work serves as a calling card for the fabulous fashion line. There are two separate lines, Sachin & Babi and Sachin & Babi Noir. Sachin & Babi has more everyday pieces, while Sachin & Babi Noir takes it to the next level. Take a look at some of my favorite pieces available now from both collections, which can be found at http://www.sachinandbabi.com.
Last week, I decided to get out of the office during my lunch break to do a little shopping. I was thrilled to see the lovely Babi showcasing the latest from Sachin & Babi Noir at Neiman Marcus. While I have seen several designers showcase their latest and greatest at Neiman Marcus, Babi took a different approach, as she gave feedback to each of her eager supporters. I was absolutely obsessed with Babi’s skirt, so when I heard that it was unavailable, she personally had her teams send me one. How fantastic is this skirt?
The great thing about Sachin & Babi creations is that you can transition them rather easily from day to night. I wore the outfit to work with a black cardigan and then it was time to go to the opening of a new store in Houston. The cardigan came off, and it was time to have fun with friends.
My incredibly talented friend and sketch artist Rongrong DeVoe loved the skirt so much, she decided to sketch it live at the event. How cool is that?!?
Hope you all have a fabulous week!!!!!

Those are indeed nice designs. The floral patterns and embroidery are wonderful, especially the red-on-black oriental style. Oh, and those heart-shaped shades look super cute, too. 🙂

I really appreciate embroidery work as it is such a delicate and difficult art. This is what drew me to Sachin & Babi to begin with. I love the black and red contrast too! The glasses were fun to sport…granted I would never seriously wear them out. 😉

Hi Mira, thank you for stopping by my silver Prada shoes 🙂 I am not into fashion blogging at all – but maybe looking at this post of yours, will change that! I love these clothes, although these colors only fit certain types of women.

It was my pleasure! Certain colors definitely feature particular skin tones, but I definitely enjoy playing with color.😉
