Leading Ladies: Aerin Lauder

Estée Lauder is one of the most recognized and trusted beauty brands in the world. Aerin Lauder, the granddaughter of Estée Lauder, shares the entrepreneurial mind and spirit of her grandparents who founded the Estée Lauder empire. Unlike other “heiresses”, she studied at the University of Pennsylvania and worked hard to create her own empire.  When you have it all, it can be easy to be complacent.  I admire her zest for creativity, and above all, I love the kindness and class she exudes.

I recently popped into Neiman Marcus here in Houston where the lovely Aerin was featuring the latest and greatest products in her line, AERIN.  From handbags and shoes to candles and perfumes, each product represents a bit of her style and experiences.

While I initially stopped in to peruse her latest pieces, I could not help but snag this perfume.

I absolutely love any scent that has a hint of gardenia, and I highly recommend this fragrance.  I also love that the lovely folks at Neimans customized the bottle for me….how fun is that?!?

I have been fortunate to have met some amazing designers and fashion moguls. However, I must say that Aerin was one of the loveliest.  She took the time to chat with everyone around her.  She immediately picked up on my henna, and we talked about everything from Indian weddings to travel.  It’s always nice to support people who have a heart.

Before my visit, I had no idea that her brand made shoes and handbags. For those of you who know anything about me, you know that shoes and handbags are my obsession.  Here are some of my favorite pieces from the AERIN collection.

Rose de Grasse Candle
Black Embroidered Shoulder Bag
Embroidered Suede Weekender Bag
Rose Weekender Bag

I really love the femininity of these pieces.  The ballet shoe is striking big this season, and of course, embroidery is absolutely everywhere.

For more great AERIN finds, visit your local Neiman Marcus store or shop online here.
