Happy November 8, everyone. Whether my fellow American citizens are reading this post, or perhaps you are visiting from other parts of the globe, you may be aware of a little election we are having this evening.
While I certainly have my views on the election, I must say I’m beyond annoyed and tired of everyone from celebrities to Facebook “friends” posting about who you should vote for. The answer? Vote for whoever the hell you want. It is no one’s business but your own, and you should not pass judgment on someone who may possess different views. I think the majority of Americans agree that both candidates are not their ideal choices. That being said, extreme views on both sides have truly divided our country, and I would love to see that come to an end.
I have always been one to be believe that what is meant to happen will happen. Sometimes, the answers as to why something has taken place is immediate, while other times, it can take years and even decades to understand. I trust that Americans will rally together, as it is us everyday citizens that can make a different, not US presidents.
That is the closest I will get to sharing my political views publicly, and with that said, I decided to focus on a different kind of race this evening.
The mix of luxury car brands with fashion is nothing new. From Mercedes Benz to Cadillac’s sponsorship of fashion weeks, the blend of fast cars and haute couture has been rather interesting. Luxury car brand Bugatti teamed up with Hermes in lining their vehicles with the finest leather. Lamborghini teamed up with fellow Italian mogul Versace for a limited edition $1 million + sports car.
Well, whether you are team blue or team red this evening, here are a few fun race-inspired items that can distract you from the current election.
Rue LaLa recently had these driving shoes on sale, so I kind of splurged. I HIGHLY recommend! Pretty sure my Fendi monster bag sums up my feelings on this year’s elections…
I hope you are all finding fun distractions to get you through tonight, and remember to take a breath and find something to be thankful for. 🙂
