Happy Black Friday, everyone! For those of you who are in need of a little exercise, you would be surprised how much you can burn wandering around the malls. Sales have already hit record breaking highs, but with those sales, we have seen quite a bit of madness. For those of you visiting or about to visit any of your local stores, please be careful. By now, most of the madness should be over, but I must, say falling in a box looking for discount toilet paper is rather “interesting”.
Many of my friends have asked me where I shop on the infamous Black Friday. I have now completely reverted to shopping online, and I am going to share some of the major sales you can find without changing out of your elastic stretch pants.
Zara
Zara has EVERYTHING at 30% off today both in store and online. Shopping at my local Zara stores gives me major anxiety at times. The lines are always so long! Items also tend to fly off the shelves quicker, so you may see items online that will never even make it to your local store. From embroidered shirts to velvet to the ballet slipper, Zara has some affordable ways to sport your favorite trends.
Zara Velvet Feel Dress in Red ($20.93)
Zara Shirt Dress with Patch ($48.93)
Zara Coat with Embroidered Yoke ($139.30)
Zara Printed Denim Trench Coat ($69.93)
Zara Velvet Jacket with Belt ($118.30)
Zara Oversized Embroidered Shirt ($27.93)
Zara Embroidered Sleeve Blouse ($34.93)
Zara Poplin Shirt with Pompoms ($34.93)
Zara Poplin Shirt ($34.93)
Zara Lace Up Leather Ballet Flats ($41.93)
Neiman Marcus
When it comes to designer sales, I have found that Neiman Marcus has actually beat out Saks this year. They are offering $50 off your $200 purchase (certain exclusions apply), and they are featuring popular items by Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Miu Miu at lower prices in comparison to Saks and Nordstrom. That being said, if you a certain store credit card, you may want to simply have your preferred retailer match the price. Most major department stores will match the price of their competitors. Traditionally, the exception is specialized discount retailers like Amazon.com or Zappos.com.
Valentino Rockstud Velvet Ballerina Flat, Nero ($365)
Alexander McQueen Printed Sateen Smoking Slipper ($351)
Prada Tessuto Leopard-Print Trim Nylon Backpack ($714)
Kim Seybart Charmed Coasters ($73)
Kate Spade Short Sleeve Jersey & Chiffon Combo Dress ($81.07)
6pm.com
I have purchased several of my Stuart Weitzman Boots and Ferragamo flats at over 60% off from this site. 6pm is connected with Zappos and is giving 15% off your total purchase as well as free shipping. One thing to keep in mind is they do NOT have free returns. This is something that I definitely consider when I shop, as I tend to only buy from this site when I know my size for sure.
Salvatore Ferragamo Varalasercut ($312.99)
LOVE Moschino Long Sleeve Globe Print Dress ($169.99)
Stuart Weitzman Swinglow Boots ($380.99)
Dolce & Gabbana St. Carrett Sandalo Zeppa ($397.99)
YOOX
Yoox is an online haven for discount designer goods. Many of my friends will ask how it is possible to get a Dolce & Gabbana briefcase for just a few hundred dollars (in comparison to the original $2000+ price). My answer is often Yoox.com. Yoox carries a lot of merchandise that is not always sold in the US which I love. Some of the pieces you will see on this site are a season or two behind, but I am not a designer snob, and I like to find buys that I will grasp for years to come. From Christian Louboutin to Christian Dior, you will find a wide arrange of great deals. Something to keep in mind…they often have good finds. If you see a piece that is a last item, you will very likely miss out in a few days’ time (for major brands like Fendi or Gucci). They do frequently have extra 15 or 25% off prices. There is currently a 25% discount on orders. Some finds are an extra 60% off!
Prada Handbag ($872)
Fendi Handbag ($1635)
Prada Sport Moccasins ($284)
Gucci Coat ($677)
Dolce & Gabbana Dress ($314)
Salvatore Ferragamo Moccasins ($280)
Giuseppe Zanotti Hightops ($260)
Red Valentino Blazer ($165)
Countless other websites are having some major sales.
- Kerastase: 15% off
- Forever 21: up t0 70% off their merchandise
- Net-a-Porter: up to 50% off
- Barney’s: 40% off popular items from Fendi and Valentino
- Kate Spade has an extra 30% off their sale as well as a separate surprise sale site with 75% off!
- Anya Hindmarch: up to 50% off
- Shopbop: up to 25% off regular and sale items
If you are looking for the best deals on certain brands, feel free to send me a note!
For those of you working this Black Friday, especially in retail, my thoughts are with you today. I certainly am grateful to have a long weekend before I’m back to contract negotiations on Monday.
I love hearing from you all, so if you find any amazing sales, I would LOVE to hear about it!

I actually looked at my fitbit blaze and that I actually surpassed my daily goal by a lot. That is a lot because I don’t make it point to do that.

Yes, it’s amazing how much exercise you can fit in your day when you shop.😉 As I’m cooped up in an office most of the day, I never can get enough steps.
