I admit it. I am often guilty of shying away from opportunities to try new things. Sometimes, all I need is a little push, and I’m glad that I went on a little gator adventure. After all, that’s what you do while in the Florida Everglades, right?
Upon arrival, this was the first sign I witnessed (and I knew I was in the right place).
As someone who often blogs about fashion tips, here’s a lesson. Do NOT wear a dress while on a speeding boat looking for alligators.

My face sums it up nicely….I’m an idiot. 🙂
It was interesting learning the difference between alligators and crocodiles. Crocodiles naturally have a tooth-filled, Hannibalesque smile. I officially coin the word Hanibalesque by the way.
As I am pretty much obsessed with mini everything these days, I just had to hold the baby alligator.

Hat: Kate Spade; Dress: Forever 21; Jacket: Columbia; Handbag: Dolce & Gabbana
This little baby could probably give me unwanted plastic surgery, but how cute is he (or she?)?
While I enjoyed seeing these little creatures and learning about their habitat, I must say a highlight for me was round 2 of my face-off with a peacock. While in Madrid years ago, I was accosted by one of these little guys, and let’s just leave the story at the duel being “memorable.”
I hope you all are off to a great start to the year trying new things. I’m back at work here in Texas, but I’m brainstorming travel plans for the year. Any suggestions?!?

Wow. You’re brave to get a hold of that baby alligator. 🙂
If you’re into beaches and up for travelling to the other side of the world, you could try Palawan in the Philippines💞

Great pictures. I loved the one with the peacock. I’m sure at the end of the day it must be a great experience excluding the dress code error.
