Hello Friends! I know it has been quite some time since my last post. Reading through the lovely emails from my fellow bloggers wondering if I was okay made me smile. I have been buried deep in work lately, but I promise to do better on posting!
This week I will post a few snapshots of some of my work outfits. I don’t know about you all, but I’m super excited to have a short week at the office thanks to Easter weekend.
Today’s look is all about gingham combined with my usual quirk. I purchased both the gingham dress and maroon coat on sale from Rue La La. It’s amazing what randomness you can find there each week!
The dress is CeCe by Cynthia Steffe, and it is super comfortable. “Gingham” is said to have several origins spanning from France to Malaysia. It is said that “gingham” actually comes from the Malayan word for stripe, genggang. The more you know, right?!?
Gingham can be a bit overwhelming, so I’m a big fan of the print in small doses. I tried to tone down the print by pairing it with a solid and structured maroon jacket. Some of you may classify this as burgundy, but as an Aggie, I’ll stick to Maroon. 🙂
Because I have an obsession with going a bit nuts with my shoes and accessories, I figured I would share my new favorite Gucci flats. I’m loving the pearl trend this season, and who doesn’t love a good pair of shoes with a mouth!
I featured my handbag on my last post, and I have a hard time keeping this one in my closet. I love the color fur accent which is another major trend this season, and Fendi has been all about fur over the past few years.
Whether you want to go gingham from head to toe, or sport a little splash of gingham goodness, now’s the time!
Also, my dress is still available online. click here to snag your size (note it runs a bit small).
Happy Monday!

You’re right with maroon. Burgundy is…well…wine-colored. More purple.
