Whether you are browsing your favorite websites or walking through the halls of your favorite mall, you will likely be coming across a tassel or two for some time to come. Tassels can be found everywhere in daily life.
In many cultures, students graduating from a school or other program sport tassels on their graduation caps. In the Middle East, young children traditionally wore tassels on their caps to ward off evil. The term “tassel” is derived from the Latin word for clasp, and as you may find in various pieces of jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces, they piece is often secured by a knotted tassel. The more you know, right?
Tassels have evolved over hundreds and hundreds of years and have been adopted by the boho lovers. You know who you are.
From H&M to Zara to Gucci, they are everywhere now.
Today’s work look is all about the coordinated tassel in neutral colors. From shoes to dresses to handbags, there are so many options to choose from. Or, if you are like me, you throw them all together.
My moccasins are from Christian Louboutin, and they are super comfortable. These moccasins also incorporate the menswear trend, which I also have been embracing recently. The best part is that I snagged these on sale (60% off!) at Neiman Marcus.
My tassel shift dress is from Tahari. I purchased the salmon version on sale at RueLaLa. The dress comes in navy and turquoise, and there are also sleeveless versions to choose from as well. The turquoise version is 65% off at 6pm.com.
One key word in this post is “sale”. Every piece of my work look is at least 50% off! There are always certain items that I know will sell out before they ever reach sale time; however, if you ever want to know where to buy a certain item on sale, send me a message.
Last item in my look is my handbag and bag charm. My handbag is Prada, and the bag charm comes from Anya Hindmarch’s eye collection.
Hope you all have a great week ahead! Can you believe we are nearly half way through August?!?
